What if the way we grow our food heals both people and planet?
Harvest Collective is a cooperative farming initiative built on the principles of regenerative, community-driven agriculture. Inspired by a successful Dutch model, we bring families and farmers together to grow food that nourishes both people and nature.
Welcome to the Harvest Collective
A cooperative farm built on the principles of regenerative, community-driven agriculture. Here’s how it works:
🌱 A group of 200 families buys a farm together around Wellington.
🌱 They invest in the land and start-up costs.
🌱 The farm employs a farmer, providing a fair wage and security.
🌱 The farm grows organic produce for these families.
🌱 Weekly subscriptions cover operational costs.
Healthy produce from your own farm
You and your family enjoy nutrient-dense food from your own farm while restoring soil health, water quality, nature and biodiversity. You can come around as often as you like - pick up your produce, lend a weekly hand in the gardens, or join the occasional harvest festival.
This first farm in Wellington is just the beginning. Our vision doesn’t stop here. We are creating a network of crowd-owned farms across New Zealand, empowering communities to eat their way to a healthier planet.
Aotearoa has the most threatened indigenous species in the world
New Zealand’s food systems are dominated by large corporations, prioritising profit over sustainability. This approach harms the health of our people, depletes our soil, contaminates our water, and threatens biodiversity. And we want to do better.
